AI Pays Us is a browser extension that shows relevant sponsored suggestions inside your AI chat conversations and pays you a share of what those suggestions earn. To match a suggestion to what you are talking about, the extension reads the visible text of the conversation you are in. This page explains exactly what that means.
What we collect

What we do not collect
- Your browsing on any site other than ChatGPT and Claude. The extension only runs on those two.
- Passwords, payment card details, or anything you type into other websites.
- Your AI account credentials. We never see them.
How we use it
Conversation text is used to select a relevant suggestion, to learn which topics interest you so later suggestions are better, and to detect abuse. It is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers. Advertisers receive aggregate counts of impressions and clicks, never the text of your conversations and never anything identifying you.
We do not use your data to train machine learning models, and we do not transfer it to third parties except the providers needed to run the service. In practice that means one: the recent text of the conversation is sent to Anthropic's API so a model can work out which product, if any, the conversation is about. Anthropic processes it on our behalf and does not use it to train models. Nothing identifying you goes with it — no email, no account, no identifier.
Affiliate relationships
Suggestions in your conversations are sponsored. When you click one and go on to buy something or sign up, we may earn a commission from that merchant, and a share of it is credited to your balance. This is how the service is funded. Clicking costs you nothing extra and prices are unaffected.
Where it goes
Data is stored on servers we operate. Some suggestions link to The Inside Scoop, a product review site we also run; visiting it is subject to its own policy. We use no third party analytics inside the extension itself.
Your choices
- Dismiss any individual suggestion with the × on the card.
- Uninstall the extension at any time. It stops reading anything immediately.
- Email privacy@aipays.us to request a copy of your data or to have your account and all associated data deleted. We action deletion requests within 30 days.
Children
AI Pays Us is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If we change what we collect or why, we will update this page and change the date above. Material changes will be surfaced in the extension before they take effect.
